2010 Hunter’s Red
This wine is SOLD OUT!
This wine is dedicated to the ancestors that came before and the archaeologists that discover clues to our ancient civilizations. In 1977, a mastodon skeleton , known as the Manis Mastodon, was found in Sequim, Washington. DNA tests in 2011 dated the bones to 13,800 years ago and the arrangement of the bones and evidence of a man made spear point embedded in a rib delivered proof that this find is among the oldest archaeological sites in the Americas to date.
10% of the proceeds from the sale of this wine will be donated to the Museum and Arts Center (MAC) in Sequim. For more information about the Mastodon find and to view the mastodon display, visit the MAC at 175 West Cedar Street in downtown Sequim.
